welcome to my food blog page
Food Blog
Eating is a personal hobby of mine. Not because I would die if I don’t, but simply because I love good food. Hence I decided to start this food blog page that focuses on Food mostly in South Africa.
This page documents my food reviews featuring some of the best food places I have been to. I will be trying out new recipes as well as up and coming restaurants. Most of the Food blogs I have written tie-up with the Travel blogs which can be found on this page or on the blog post itself. This site is meant to be social and informative so please feel free to contact me if there is a particular restaurant you would like to be featured. Also, my personal favourite, a collaboration for a blog.
Else, enjoy my posts and do leave a comment.

Hartbeespoort
almost orange
Located on a beautiful orange farm on the R513, Almost Orange Bistro is the perfect chill spot in Harties for those late afternoon drinks. Serving the freshest Tapas and the widest variety of drinks, you can expect good service and pleasant views.
cape town
waterkloof
Also located in Somerset West, Waterkloof is the most beautiful Wine farm I have visited to date! It is important to note that I have been to a lot of wine farms. Perched on the top of a hill, this vineyard not only offers amazing wine tastings but beautiful aesthetic views to match.
cape town
lourensford
Nestled away in Somerset West, Lourensford wine estate is the perfect place to spend that lazy Sunday afternoon with the family. With more than beautiful grounds and views, I got to experience my first chocolate and wine pairing!
sandton
Solo
Best known for its beautiful wine cellar “photo booth” Solo Restaurant is the new popular food spot in Sandton. That alone is the sole attraction, however, the whole restaurant is very aesthetically pleasing! Happy to report that the food is also worth all the hype.
sandton
Gratitude
Good food and even better views is exactly what you can expect at this black owned restaurant. Nestled in Modderfontein, just 10 minutes from Sandton this restaurant is quickly making its way up the list for popular eateries.

Paul
Paul Restaurant and Bakery is a popular eatery in the Sandton area. Most know for its pastry, the restaurant offers a wide variety menu as well as deserts. I was please to see that the place had a calm and very aesthetic friendly setting. A bonus, was the alcohol.

Little Paris
So, the whole setup is something that resembles the setting of Paris itself. Here you can expect a cute gift shop, a deli, boutique as well as the well-known French toast coffee café. Located in Hartbeespoort, on the R511, which is about 30 min from Pretoria central, this location is something you would definitely want to check out. Best known for the cute Eiffel tower replica as well as the love lock bridge this is a well-known romantic setting.
graskop
Harrie's pancakes
Harries pancakes, yes pancakes, offers pancakes in any filling you can think of. My personal favourite is the Cinnamon and Sugar with Milk Tart, I am a huge milk tart fan and was very happy to find this as one of their sweet fillings. I have however also tried something from the savoury fillings, the savoury mince with grated cheddar cheese, this is honestly just as delicious.
stellenbosch
jc le roux
The wine house has a restaurant upstairs where one can enjoy hearty meals with (yes you guessed it) some JC le Roux. Here you can order a full bottle of wine, should be easy to do considering that you had just tasted the selection downstairs.
