Wine tasting in Cape Town
So, I made it to Cape Town (Again) and I got to experience the Lourensford Wine Tasting. Obviously had to add that to the itenerary because wine tasting in Cape Town is a must!
What did I enjoy the most about the Lourensford wine tasting
Lourensford chocolate and wine tasting. This was something new for me and probably the reason why I enjoyed it so much. Having been to other wine farms and experienced different wine tasting in cape town, my lactose-intolerant self has never paired it with chocolate before.
Where is Lourensford wine estate?
This particular wine farm is located in Somerset West Cape Town, which is about 45 minutes from city centre.
What else can one do on the farm besides the Lourensford chocolate and wine tasting?
So, this is one of the few wine farms that I’ve seen that have so muchto offer besides the actual wine tasting in Cape Town. Here you can do coffee and vodka tasting as well as my personal favourite the market!
Besides that, they have other lifestyle options such as the life retreat studios and culinary clubs, one can find out more about their options here.
I have been to other wine farms which you can read about on my blog. However, I find that the Lourensford wine tasting is also high on the list of competitiveness mainly because of their family-friendly setting as well as their affordable prices. This wine farm is perfect for a lazy day out with the family and has ample space for the kids to run around and enjoy themselves. As for the prices, much cheaper than the places I have been to with the Lourensford wine and chocolate tastings starting from R110. The other prices can be found on their website.
I personally do recommend the trip. If you are ever in Somerset West do find out where is Lourensford wine estate and pop in for your own experience.
