Solo Restaurant

Solo Restaurant

Okay so right off the bat, we all went to Solo restaurant or want to go there because of that gorgeous wine cellar, right? I know that is what attracted me to Solo in Sandton, and honestly, I think it is really working for them. Was it worth it? Yup! Check out some of the cute pictures I took on my Instagram.

Now that that’s out of the way.

24 Central Sandton

Solo in Sandton is located at 24 Central Sandton, this is at Cnr Gwen Lane and Fredman Drive. This is a plus for me, Sandton is usually very congested. This centre is in a safe area away from all the crowding and traffic.

Solo Sandton

How was Solo restaurant?

It is honestly a very aesthetically pleasing restaurant. Classy décor, very spacious and well laid out. I was very happy to find out that it is black-owned! Yup, again, always a pleasure supporting our own. Could easily fall under Sandton fine dining.

There is the main seating and the bar area. Now on planning to visit the place, please don’t be like me and just walk in, rather make a booking. The restaurant is very popular and you will be advised that you may need to be moved to the bar area if the booked guests arrive. Side note, the bar area is really pretty, and moving there really wouldn’t be an issue. You can make a booking via their website.

Solo Menu

Solo Menu

I was very pleased to realise that the solo menu had a huge variety. Which is rare amongst most of the Sandton city restaurants I have been to. You can have lots of options on their food and drinks menu. I for one decided to take a break from my usual seafood and try something heartier. I had the beef fillet. And wow! (Insert teary emoji here). It was really good; my friend had their pasta and it was just as good! If there’s anything I would recommend from Solo Sandton, it would be their food. The Solo menu just gives you a reason to want to come back and try more. If you haven’t peeped solos menu, yes, please expect Sandton fine dining prices! I’m certain you know what I mean.

What I loved about Solo Sandton

I have to highlight the friendliness of the staff. Beyond helpful and look genuinely happy to be of assistance. The manager was very happy to answer all my questions for the blog and that was awesome. That for me was what worked best, the feeling of happiness and homeliness!

What could’ve been better?

The restaurant is honestly so beautiful. I would’ve loved to have a pretty view, maybe Sandton skyline like most restaurants in the area. And not just a parking lot. But that’s just me, I love a good view. It does not take away from the restaurant though.

Do I recommend Solo Sandton?

A definite thumbs up from me! The hype is totally worth it. If you are ever near 24 Central Sandton, or just looking for some Sandton fine dining, do give it a visit.

Hi Emmah, I have a direct link to the menu on the hyperlinks on the blog.
However, looking at what you listed you can look at spending about R500 depending on the drinks and dessert you order. Hope that helps!
