Almost Orange

Also known as Almost Orange Bistro

Almost Orange Harties is located at Altyd Mooi Farm on the R513 Hartbeespoort. This makes it one of the few eateries you can visit if you ever find yourself in the North Western part of South Africa. Almost Orange Bistro as the name suggested is a lovely Tapas restaurant that is on an orange farm.

Apart from the lovely aesthetics of the restaurant itself you can expect to enjoy the lovely views of the oranges on the farm. A note is that visitors are not allowed to pick the Oranges however you are welcome to enjoy the walk.

The actual food at almost orange bistro

I will be honest enough to admit that this one of the few restaurant’s I visited without checking the menu. So upon my visit I was shocked to see that it was just Tapas. The tapas were very filling though so I had no complaints. This was a quick stop on the way to another activity so we were looking for something light. I did order the half-portion meat platter (see image below), it was fresh and yes I would recommend it.

What I did find interesting was the variety on the drinks. You can expect a huge variety on alcoholic drinks from cocktails to craft beers and gins.

Almost Orange Harties is a very beautiful restaurant to visit in the Hartbeespoort area, ideal for the afternoon drinks. Lovely outdoor seating and platters for sharing. Just be sure to make a booking when going to visit the Bistro as it does get very busy especially during weekends. If you are looking for a more fine dining experience you can visit Silver Orange Bistro which is situated on the same farm.
