Too far from Harries Pancakes in Mpumalanga? You’re in luck there’s one open in Pretoria too.
Firstly, you don’t need to love pancakes to try this restaurant out.
Secondly, if you do love pancakes then you will not be disappointed.
I was first introduced to the restaurant on my Mpumalanga trip, there it is situated in Graskop. Now I was very excited to learn that there is a branch much closer to home in Pretoria, so excited that I decided to write this Travel Food Blog about my favourite savoury pancake fillings spot in South Africa
Harries pancakes, yes pancakes..
They offer pancakes in any filling you can think of. My personal favourite is the Cinnamon and Sugar with Milk Tart, I am a huge milk tart fan and was very happy to find this as one of their sweet fillings. I have however also tried something from the savoury fillings, the savoury mince with grated cheddar cheese, this is honestly just as delicious. Now I obviously cannot mention their whole menu in on blog post, but you can find it up on Zomato. I use Zomato as a point of reference before checking out new restaurants, I like to see what people have said about it and I like to get an idea of what their food looks like, I don’t like surprises, so I have also included some pictures here of the food for you to see below.

Don’t like pancakes?
The menu also offers salads (no it does not come in a pancake), they also offer your standard breakfast menu which is served till 10:30 a.m. and they also have great deserts. This restaurants has a variety of healthy food that promises to tick all the boxes of a balanced diet.
Do I recommend this restaurant?
This is a very cute spot, I love that it has a lovely homely feeling (in both locations that I have been to), they have guaranteed fresh food, I have been there a couple of times and honestly, I have always received great service.
I would definitely recommend this Harries Pancake for that lazy Saturday morning run.
