Why did I visit gratitude restaurant?
So, I love good food whilst looking at a good view. I did happen to come across a picture of gratitude restaurant on Instagram, it looked breath-taking and I thought yup I have found my next lunch location. To my surprise, this particular restaurant is quite close to home and I didn’t even know of it.

Gratitude Restaurant is located in Modderfontein, which is just a 10 min drive from Sandton. In the lovely (hidden) Flamingo shopping centre. If you are familiar with the new location of the Fourways Farmers Market then that would be the shopping centre across from it, just upstairs.
On doing my research, I always do this prior to going anywhere to see if it fits my budget (lol). I realized that this venue was very popular for birthday celebrations, or any celebration really. Only upon my visit did it make sense. It is so spacious as compared to the normal restaurant; the pictures do not even show it well enough. Also, upon my visit, I found that the place is black-owned!

review of the restaurant
Firstly, it is absolutely beautiful. The view just made the visit even better. The establishment is very trendy, looks and feels recent as well as somewhat upper class. However, once you settle in it feels quite at home with very friendly waiters.
There is a variety of foods as well as drinks. It is affordable (well within my budget) with a range of deserts. I had no regrets in regards to the food, it took long, however it was very fresh and well done. I know I normally review the potency of the alcoholic drinks, sadly, my visit was within Level 4 restrictions where our lovely president was withholding alcoholic drinks from us. So, I would have to update that at a later stage.
I personally loved this restaurant because it is not in a busy area, I do not like traffic and definitely do not like having to struggle with parking just to get some food. So that is a huge bonus for me. I must say that it looks very fancy at first glance but the atmosphere and friendliness is welcoming eventually. And of course, the view! Perfect! Even more perfect for the pictures you would be taking for the gram! Seeing that this is quite close to home, this will be a spot I would be visiting again. A place I would recommend for a good experience, a very well done to the owner.
